Privacy policy

Plain English, because that is rather the point of everything else here. This explains what I collect, why I have it, who else sees it, how long I keep it, and how to make me delete it.

Who I am

Money Coach Tom is a trading name of Money Coach Tom FZE LLC. I am the data controller for everything described here. You can reach me at tom@moneycoachtom.co.uk about anything on this page, including a request to delete your data.

What I collect, and why

If you ask for the guide. Your email address, so I can send you the guide and occasional emails about money. That is consent, and you can withdraw it at any time using the unsubscribe link at the foot of every email.

If you book a call. Your name, email address and whatever you write in the booking form, so I can hold the appointment and turn up to it.

If you message me. Whatever you send by email or WhatsApp, kept so I can reply and pick up where we left off.

If you become a client. The financial details you choose to share so I can actually help: income, outgoings, assets, debts, pensions, tax. Sessions are usually recorded, with your agreement, so you can watch them back. You decide what to tell me, and you can ask me to leave anything out.

What I do not do

Who else handles it

A handful of services do the technical work. They process your data on my instructions, and only for the job named:

I run the business from Dubai, so your data is accessed from outside the UK. Where a service stores data outside the UK or EEA, it does so under the safeguards in its own terms.

How long I keep it

Cookies

This site sets no cookies of its own, and there is no analytics or advertising code on it. Kit's sign-up script may set a cookie to remember that you have already subscribed, so it does not keep asking.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask me for a copy of what I hold, ask me to correct it, ask me to delete it, object to how I am using it, or withdraw your consent to marketing emails. Email me and I will sort it, normally within a few days and always within a month. There is no charge.

If I get it wrong and we cannot resolve it between us, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, I will update the date at the top. Material changes to how I use subscriber data will be emailed to subscribers.

One thing worth repeating: Money Coach Tom provides financial guidance and education. This is not regulated financial advice, and Money Coach Tom is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. I never sell financial products or take commission.
